Why is Narendra Modi dying for US visa, asks Renuka Chaudhary (India TV Exclusive)

New Delhi, Aug 1: Renuka Chaudhary is one of the most articulate spokespersons of the Congress party. She never minces words in criticizing her opponents but at the same time,  is always effusive in her

Q: How do you look at your party's prospects in upcoming assembly elections in four states? You are facing infighting in your state units like MP and Chhattisgarh.

Renuka:
We'll win in all these states. And which party is not facing infighting? BJP is called Bhartiya Jhagadalu party. I'm not saying this. People say this.

Q: What big issues you will focus on in 2014?

Renuka: Development, Indianness, unity, and for the youth. All people including farmers are included in this. Then we have achievements like RTI, RTE, NREGS, and empowerment of women with 50 percent reservation in panchayat, agricultural reforms. We have produced record amount of wheat this time. Why would anyone remove Congress? Others promise only while it's  Congress that delivers all the time.

Q: Coming to food security bill, your opponents say that you have issued the ordinance in a hurry, with an eye on coming elections?

Renuka: What hurry? This bill was introduced in parliament in 2009. This is not an instant popcorn. This is pending for last five years. In last session, the debate had even begun but the opposition did not allow the house to function because they feared that the Congress will get all the credit. Those who don't know the facts are saying all this.
