Johannesburg: Congress president Sonia Gandhi and Leader of Opposition Sushma Swaraj had a long discussion over a lunch on Tuesday at a five-star hotel here, where they had come to attend the memorial service of anti-apartheid icon Nelson Mandela.
The two leaders reportedly discussed the fallout of the Delhi assembly election results in which the emergence of Aam Aadmi Party has stalled the formation of a government by the single largest party BJP.
Both Sonia Gandhi and Sushma Swaraj refused to disclose the nature of their discussion after lunch.
While Sonia Gandhi refused to take questions from mediapersons and smilingly pointed towards Sushma Swaraj while leaving, the BJP leader too refused to take any questions from the media.
The lunch was organised soon after the leaders attended the memorial service for South African leader Nelson Mandela.
