“Shri Sis Ram Ola handled his public responsibilities with tact, politeness and grace. He was held in very high esteem across the political spectrum. In his death, the country has lost a popular leader,” the resolution said.
It said the 86-year-old Congress leader from Rajasthan was an agriculturist and a “great political and social worker who devoted his entire life for upliftment of the masses.”
Ola died in the wee hours this morning at a Gurgaon hospital after a prolonged illness.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and a daughter.
