On the other hand, the Madhya Pradesh government has moved court for closure of five cases against the BJP leader.
These cases involve charges of attempt to murder and making obscene acts and songs (Sections 307 and 294 of IPC), among others, and were registered by police in 2006 in the Bada Malhara area in Chhatarpur district of MP, the affidavit said.
Bharti is facing the Congress's Pradeep Kumar Jain, the sitting MP and the Union Minister of State for Rural Development, in the battle for the Jhansi seat, which will go to polls on April 30.
Also in the fray against her are the BSP's Anuradha Sharma and the SP's Chandrapal Singh Yadav.
