Mumbai: Taking a clear U-turn from his earlier statement, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray has made it clear today that his party has no plans of leaving NDA for the time being.
Uddhav has also clarified that Anant Geete, the sole Shiv Sena representative in union cabinet, will not resign from Modi government.
Uddhav Thackeray further said that BJP and Shiv Sena had jointly contested elections and people had given a joint mandate to the two parties, be it BMC or Lok Sabha elections.
Uddhav Thackeray had said yesterday that Anant Geete will resign from union cabinet after Prime Minister Narendra Modi returns from US. He had also said that Shiv Sena will also consider walking out of alliance with BJP in BMC.
But today's statement of Uddhav is quite contrary to what he had said yesterday.
