TDP-BJP crisis ends, BJP cedes one more seat to TDP
Hyderabad: The stalemate over the electoral alliance between TDP and BJP ended Friday evening with the latter agreeing to part with the Ichchapuram Assembly seat and settle for 13 seats in all, across Andhra Pradesh.BJP
He said that the two main objectives of their alliance was to rid the country of the Congress rule and win power in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh to lead them on path of development.
"There was no trouble whatsoever with our alliance. It was just a creation of some television channels," Javadekar told reporters at Chandrababu Naidu's residence.
BJP's AP unit president Kambhampati Haribabu, TDP MP Y Satyanarayana Chowdary and ex-MP Kambhampati Ramamohan Rao also said the alliance was never on rocks as speculated by the media.
"Everything is fine. The BJP will contest 4 Lok Sabha and 13 Assembly seats in the (May 7) election and will also be given three MLC seats subsequently," Chowdary said.
The BJP has also agreed to change its candidate in Narsaraopet.
