Gandhinagar, Aug 5: Yoga guru Swami Ramdev, who is to launch his indefinite fast from August 9 at Delhi's Ramlila Maidan, is on a 3-day "introspection" ahead of his agitation.
"I want to spend my time on solitary 'sadhana'(meditation), 'atmachintan (self-introspection) and 'rashtra-chintan'(thoughts for the nation) in Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birthplace Karmasad", said Ramdev in a statement.
"I have always considered Sardar Patel as my role model, who unified 565 princely states into a united India. Today this country is on the verge of collapse because of black money, corruption, inflation, unemployment, casteism and communalism.
"Perturbed over our August 9 movement, some office-bearers of the Congress are making objectionable remarks by breaking all limits of decency and dignity, and I request Soniaji to keep them under discipline.
"We will carry out our movement peacefully and with non-violence. We request Delhi Police and the central government not to conspire to curb our constitutional right to agitate", said the press release issued by Ramdev's media adviser.
