Social media amused as Disco joins BJP, Dancer goes to Trinamool

New Delhi: Music director Bappi Lahiri joining the BJP, days after Disco Dancer Mithun Chakraborty booked his Rajya Sabha seat on a Trinamool Congress ticket has kept the social media buzzing with comments, some snide,

"My experience in film music spans 42 years, and I have fans throughout the world. But now I have decided to serve the nation.. I had a dream, to serve India. and I will definitely do it", said Lahiri.

On Twitter, Bappi Lahiri's entry into BJP fetched many comments:

Deepankar @deep_anchor commented: "Bappi Lahiri joined BJP. Mithun Chakraborty joined Trinamool. So Disco goes to BJP and Dancer joins TMC"

Joydeep Roy @GunnerRoy : "Bappi Lahiri has been unveiled as a new BJP candidate. Now if BJP comes to power we might as well say goodbye to our Gold Reserves!"
