“Congress can decide on its PM candidate but as far as the PM candidate of UPA is concerned, that will be decided only after due deliberation among UPA partners,” added Praful Patel.
Patel said that although NCP will support Congress wherever its needed for govt formation, the party is free to work for expanding its base in different parts of the country as the alliance with Congress is limited to Maharashtra and Goa only.
On a question relating to the implication of NCP ministers by Congress govt in Aadarsh scam, Patel said that NCP ministers have nothing to do with it and they have already stated their position.
According to Patel, it's the Congress leadership that has to explain why it overturned its own decision on Aadarsh report.
