New Delhi: An overwhelming majority of social media users have seconded the views expressed by Union Home Minister in Parliament yesterday that 'secular' is the most misused word in Indian Politics.

Rajnath Singh had reminded the Lok Sabha  that Dr BR Ambedkar didn't find it necessary to insert the words 'secular' and 'socialist' in the Preamble because he felt these were  already in the basic nature of Indian people.

Indiatvnews.com conducted a survey on social media asking people to respond whether 'secular' word is misused by politicians of our country or not?

We asked the following question with three options:

Q. Is 'secular' most misused word in Indian politics?

A. Yes
B. No
C. Can't Say

95 per cent people participating in the survey said YES to Rajnath's thought while only 5 per cent of the respondent disagreed.

Here are few of the interesting remarks made by social media users who participated in the poll:

Biplab Paul, Guwahati: Yes, the opportunistic parties of India have mainly misused n disrespected this word.

Kamalasish Goswami, Rudrapur: Yes, secular means only caring about minority for vote bank. Secularism means communalism.

Kruti Mehul Desai, Mumbai: They are mocking the huge mandate. Basically, they don't care about Indians. They don't talk about we all Indians except Narendra Modi. The entire Monsoon Session was washed out and not they are doing drama so that in the Winter Session Parliament can't transact business.

Gopal Saxena, Ahmedabad: The meaning of Secularism is to please one religion at the cost of other religion by the political parties. Real minority of India is safe & have most respected people doing lot of work to keep India's head high.
