New Delhi: Former general secretary of Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP) Sanjay Joshi, known as a strong critic of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has once again attacked him through posters.
The posters featuring Joshi have appeared in Delhi, criticising Modi for wishing Pakistan and Bangladesh on Ramadan while he holds grudges against BJP veterans LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Sushma Swaraj and himself.
“Pakistan, Bangladesh ko dete ho Ramzan pe badhai...Sushma, Advani, Sanjay Joshi, Rajnath, Gadkari, Murli Manohar Joshi, Vasundhara, ke liye hai mann mein khatai, (You wish Pakistan and Bangladesh on Ramzan but hold grudges against LK Advani, Murli Manohar Joshi, Sushma Swaraj and Sanjay Joshi).” the posters read.
The posters also mocked Modi's radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat' and his development slogan ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas'.
“Na samwad, na mann ki baat, na sabka sath, na sabka vikas...Phir kyun kare janata aap par vishwas (There is no interaction, thoughts sharing, no cooperation and no development for all then why should people believe you),” the poster reads.
The posters have been put up outside PM residence 7-Race Course Road, and residences of BJP president Amit Shah, LK Advani and Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi.
The posters mention several declaratory, probably the supporters of Joshi.
On top of the posters, pictures of Amit Shah and Modi have been printed and Joshi's picture appears alone on the lower side.
This is not the first time Joshi has been involved in a poster war with top BJP bigwigs. Earlier in April, posters with pictures of Modi, Shah and Joshi appeared taking a dig at the Modi government's slogan of "Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas", and asked why Joshi was not being taken along.
The poster stated that BJP workers' 'Mann ki baat' be heard and "Sanjay Joshi's 'Ghar Wapsi' be initiated".
Once a powerful leader of BJP, Joshi was suspended from all party posts in 2005 when CD showing him in compromised positions appeared. The CD was later proved to be doctored.
