New Delhi, Oct 11: A miffed Union law minister Salman Khurshid has said that he will file a civil as well as criminal case against Arvind Kejriwal. He was reacting to the demands of Kejriwal regarding his immediate resignation and the arrest of his wife Louis Khurshid.
Arvind Kejriwal had demanded Khurshid's resignation and his wife's arrest in the aftermath of a Hindi news channel's sting operation that accused Khurshid run NGO ‘Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust' of siphoning of funds meant for disabled people in UP.
The Congress has washed off its hand from the entire episode. Renuka Chudhary while commenting on this issue had merely said that she herself had requested UP CM to probe the matter.
Louis Khurshid, wife of Salman Khurshid and chief functionary of Zakir Hussain Memorial Trust, has rejected all allegations through a press release.
The press release termed the charges as ‘devoid of merit, false, malicious and baseless.'
According to the press release, Louis Khurshid had herself requested UP CM Akhilesh Yadav to conduct an independent and impartial enquiry in order to verify the fact that the trust has not forged signatures of any officer.
Arvind Kejriwal also plans to gherao the residence on Friday to press for the resignation of Salman Khurshid .
