Patna, Sep 28 : Charging the state top leaders with ignoring candidates with mass support after release of list of 77 nominees for Bihar assembly poll, senior Congress leader Anirudh Prasad alias Saudhu Yadav today announced to resign from the state party Election Campaign Committee.
"I am really pained and hurt at the way the list of 77 candidates of the party has been released in New Delhi without holding consultations with senior leaders... it has virtually ignored the claims of the genuine leaders of mass support in Congress in Bihar," Sadhu Yadav told reporters here.
He said he had decided to resign as Vice Chairman of the Bihar Congress Poll Campaign Committee and hand over the letter in this regard to the state party chief Choudhary Mehbood Ali Kaiser once he returned to Patna from New Delhi.
"I am also free to take the future course of action... but I will highlight the issue of irregularities and politics which has led to denial of tickets to genuine workers, while continuing in the party," he said.
He said while his supporters were ignored in allotment of tickets in the first list, some MPs from outside had prominent say in the list. PTI
