New Delhi: If Digvijaya Singh thought that his brave confession of being in a relationship with journalist Amrita Rai will put a break to all the gossips and controversies then he will be disappointed because his own family members have started asking him embarrassing questions.Amrita RaiRunbina Sharma, wife of Digvijaya Singh's brother Laxman Singh, has now accused Digvijay of practicing double standards. Rubina wants Digvijaya to answer as to why did he oppose her marriage with his brother citing the age difference when he himself, at 67 years of age, is planning to marry someone who, at 42, is younger than all his daughters. Speaking to a leading newspaper, Rubina said, “I feel happy and welcome Amrita to our family. But I find (it) a bit ironical too. When Laxman wanted to marry me, there was stiff opposition from Digvijayaji on the ground that I was several years younger to Laxman. I wonder what he would have to say now.”“Even Laxman's daughter, 13 years younger to me from his first wife, was instigated against me. Now when Digvijayaji marries Amrita, his daughters will all be older than his new wife,” added Rubina.It should be recalled that Laxman Singh, Digvijaya Singh's brother, had married Rubina Sharma, 30 years younger to him, after the two met at Apollo Hospital. At Apollo, Rubina, like Laxman's first wife Jagriti, was undergoing chemotherapy at that time.They married in 2002 after Laxman Singh's wife Jagriti passed away.
