Guwahati: Union Consumer Affairs Minister Ram Vilas Paswan has condemned the alleged vandalisation of a prominent Christian school in South Delhi's Vasant Vihar by unidentified persons today.
“Attack on buildings of any religion whether Christian, Muslim, Hindu or any other, is condemnable,” said Paswan in response to a question on the sidelines of a meeting here.
“Our country is a secular one and we have faith in secularism. Since Narendra Modi has become the Prime Minister, no demands have been made for construction of a Ram temple (at Ayodhya) or any other religious issues emerged. We are only concentrating on development,” Paswan asserted.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had today summoned Delhi Police Commissioner B S Bassi in the wake of vandalisation of the prominent Christian school and directed him to come down hard against those involved in such attacks.
