Haridwar, Sept 2: The personal driver of yoga guru Baba Ramdev has filed a complaint with local police alleging that he was offered Rs 5 lakhs by an IB operative and some mediapersons to falsely implicate the Baba.
In the report filed in Kankhal police station, the driver Vinay has alleged that an operative of a central intelligence bureau and some mediapersons offered him Rs 5 lakhs to carry out adulteration in the products manufactured by Baba Ramdev's group including the Patanjali Yogapeeth.
The driver alleged he was promised more money if he carried out the adulteration work successfully.
He alleged that the persons used to come in a car with red beacon, and introduced themselves as intelligence official and mediapersons. These people also threatened serious consequences if he disclosed their identities.
SSP Haridwar Arun Mohan Joshi said the driver's complaint has been received and necessary investigation will be carried out.
