Unlike RJD supremo Lalu Prasad who assailed Yoga Guru Ramdev for his inclination to float a political party, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday said he would welcome the Yoga Guru if he was really interested in politics.
"I think people having good track records and clean images and experts from all walks of life to associate in active politics... Old faces make politics insipid in taste and practice," Kumar told reporters. "Yoga (meditation) practicing politics will deliver good... let the Baba join politics or float a new party, I welcome it," he said.
Asked whether he would accommodate Ramdev in his party, Kumar asked as to "whether he has approached you."
"Ramdev is free to join a political party or launch a political front of his own," he said. PTI
