Ram Jethmalani sues BJP parliamentary board members
New Delhi: Senior Supreme Court lawyer Ram Jethmalani has sued the BJP's parliamentary board members -- excluding former prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee and Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi -- for Rs. 50 lakh each
He had openly criticised former party president Nitin Gadkari over "business irregularities" in his Purti group and also attacked the leaders of opposition in both the houses, Arun Jaitley and Sushma Swaraj.
At the time of his expulsion in May, too, Mr Jethmalani had written to the party president Rajnath Singh, calling his expulsion a "stupid order" by which "the Party has committed suicide. It will only bring joy to our corrupt rulers and few of their corrupt collaborators within the Party. If you are determined to commit suicide, even the gods cannot salvage you."
