New Delhi: Home Minister Rajnath Singh will undertake a five-day visit to China beginning November 19 during which issues like incursion along the border and smuggling of Chinese arms into militants in the Northeast are expected to be discussed.

Singh will interact with top Chinese leadership in Beijing in the first three days of his trip where he is expected to raise the issue of incursion along the Sino-Indian border, particularly in Ladakh sector.

There have been several incidents of incursion in Indian territory by Chinese troops in recent past. Most of these incidents took place in Ladakh sector.

India shares 3,488 km of border with China that runs along Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Sikkim and Arunachal Pradesh.

The Home Minister is likely to ask the Chinese leadership to check smuggling of arms into the Northeast insurgent groups, most of which have bases along the porous Sino-Myanmar border.

Singh will also spend two days in Shanghai where he is expected to meet business leaders of China.
