Mumbai: Two days after skipping the swearing-in ceremony of the new Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government, Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray today met state Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at government's Sahyadri guest house in south Mumbai.

Raj arrived here at 11 am with his supporters and discussed state related issues. The meeting lasted for about half an hour.

It is believed that Raj also sought a detailed probe into the grisly murders of three members of a Dalit family in Ahmednagar.

“I met the Chief Minister and discussed various issues including killings of three members of the Jadhav family. I apprised him about the current situation and urged him to taking immediate and effective measure to boost the morale of police. The Chief Minister assured that probe is on into the case and will soon reach to a conclusion,” Raj told reporters after meeting Fadnavis.

This was the first meet between the two leaders after Devendra was sworn-in as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra.

The MNS chief had skipped the swearing-in ceremony of Fadnavis government on Friday as he was in Javkhede village where three members of a Dalit family were killed last month.
