"These political parties instigate riots for their benefit. The common man never wants to fight, he wants to live", said Rahul Gandhi.
"I want to tell you, Hindus, Muslims, Christians and others, all want to stay together in harmony. We won't allow them to instigate quarrels among us. We gave you the right to food, but we never said, this is for a particular community, or caste. This right is for all Indians", said the Congress vice president.
He said, Uttar Pradesh is being left far behind on the path of progress, because of parties which pit people of religions and castes against one another. "So long as you are not united, this state can never progress", he added.
