New Delhi: Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi has once again proceeded on leave, triggering speculation that he has gone on another sabbatical.

This has come when crucial Bihar polls are around the corner. The Congress VP is the face for the grand old party.

Media reports suggested that on Tuesday evening, Rahul left for London.

The Congress party, however, rubbished the reports saying the Congress scion is travelling abroad on a short personal visit and will return shortly.

Party's chief spokesman Randeep Surjewala said, "We reject all rumours stating otherwise. He will continue to lead the party's Bihar campaign as also in the rest of the country".

Surjewala, who refused to divulge the duration of his leave, also said that Rahul will travel to Aspen, US to attend a conference.

The conference is expected to be attended by global leaders from various domains, both from government and private sectors, he said.

He was asked at the AICC briefing whether Rahul has left for London today and whether it meant.

Early this year, Rahul had gone abroad on a 56-day sabbatical when the Budget Session of Parliament had commenced and that led to much talk and speculation in political circles.
