Patna: Sulking BJP leader Shatrughan Sinha has described Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi as a "rising new star" while calling the Bihar election results a "victory of democracy".
A day after Rahul Gandhi's high-voltage charge against PM Modi, disgruntled BJP MP Shatrughan Sinha fired another salvo, hailing the Congress vice president as a "rising star".
The actor-turned-politician praised the Nitish Kumar-led Grand Alliance's big win in the state polls in a series of tweets, congratulating it hours before the oath-taking ceremony.
In his tweets, sent out before Nitish Kumar was sworn in today as the Chief Minister of Bihar, the BJP MP also said he was a friend and admirer of RJD Chief Lalu Prasad and Kumar.
"It has been the victory of democracy. I wish the new government led by Nitish babu, Laluji and rising star Rahul Gandhi great success.
"Will miss the ceremony, but Nitish babu & Laluji, I remain a well-wisher, admirer and friend and remember, once a friend, always a friend," he said.
Sinha has been critical of BJP since the campaign to the elections began and strongly supported the demand of four party veterans, including L K Advani, that accountability be fixed for its massive defeat in the Bihar polls.
