New Delhi, Jun 25: BJP believes that Indian Prime Minister should take lessons from US president who speaks to the people even if there is a minor shooting.
Prakash Javdekar, BJP spokesperson, blasted Manmohan Singh for not addressing the nation even after Uttarakhand tragedy.
"It is shocking that the PM has not addressed the nation even after a week has passed. In US, the president speaks to the people even if there is a minor shooting," Javdekar said.
Reacting to Congress terming Narendra Modi's visit to Uttarakhand as 'disaster tourism', Javdekar said, “Congress is playing politics on the Uttarakhand calamity because it is extremely scared of Modi's popularity and the kind of response he is receiving; hence it is dragging Modi into every possible controversy."
"Modi was doing what any other chief minister would do for his state and even Prithviraj Chavan of Maharashtra is going to Uttarakhand but no one is asking him questions," added Javdekar.
