New Delhi: With the CBI sword hanging over his head in the Bokaro recruitment scam, Lok Janshakti Party supremo Ramvilas Paswan today chose to keep his cards close to his chest, by stopping short of announcing an electorate alliance with BJP in Bihar.
Chirag Paswan, chairman, LJP parliamentary board, told a press conference that the party has authorized his father Ramvilas Paswan "to explore alternative options since the present alliance with RJD was deadlocked".
"We have entrusted the responsibility of deciding about alternative alliance to our party chief", he said.
Sources close to Paswan said, seat sharing with the BJP has almost been finalized, with LJP deciding to contest on eight LS seats.
"When we say alternative options are open, it also means the road to BJP is also open", said Ram Vilas Paswan.
