Over 40 percent Delhiites support AAP: Survey

New Delhi: Over 40 percent Delhiites will vote for the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) while a similar percentage wants Arvind Kejriwal as chief minister, said the party Wednesday citing a survey."A total of 41 percent

According to Yadav, the survey was conducted in February, August and September 2013 while the last phase was still on.

The first two surveys had a sample size of over 3,000 while the third survey had a sample size of over 35,000 in all 70 constituencies. Results from 22 constituencies were shared.

According to AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, the vote share of his party has risen from 14 percent in February to 27 percent in August and 32 percent in September while the vote share of both Congress and BJP has declined.

"Both these parties are symbols of price rise and corruption and need to be thrown out. I am confident AAP will come to power in Delhi," said Kejriwal.

Elections to the Delhi assembly are scheduled in November.
