Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is all set to resign from the top post today after making a customary call on state Governor NN Vohra.
The 44-year-old Chief Minister defeated Nazir Ahmad Khan of Congress from Beerwah by a margin of only 1000 votes. He, however, lost from Sonawar assembly seat of Srinagar district.

The Chief Minister's party National Conference (NC) managed to bag only 15 seats in the recently concluded assembly election and become the third largest party in the state.
PDP emerged as the single largest party with 28 seats, 16 short of a majority in the 87-member House. The BJP got 25 seats and NC 17, including two Independents supported by it, followed by the Congress with 12 seats.
