Jammu, Mar 14: Senior PDP leader Muzaffar Hussain Baig on Sunday accused the Jammu and Kashmir government of "brazenly indulging in auctioning of government jobs."
"State coalition government headed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah has been brazenly indulging in auctioning ofgovernment jobs," said Baig, addressing a public rally organised by the party at Parade Ground here.
"Instead of providing jobs to the deserving unemployed youth, this regime has been appointing influential people through backdoors," he said.
"For getting government jobs one should either have money to give bribe or should be relatives of Ministers or ruling elites," he said, adding that many "deserving youth" had lost out due to the "corrupt policies" of the ruling coalition.
Emphasising on making the state economically independent,he demanded the scrapping of "discriminatory water treaties,"especially the Indus Water Treaty which, he said, has prevented Jammu and Kashmir from utilising its own water. PTI
