New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is likely to visit Delhi's India Islamic Cultural Centre after the holy month of Ramadan, a statement from the centre said.
Narendra Modi made the assurance at a meeting with the centre's president Sirajuddin Qureshi.
The statement also added that Qureshi asked the Prime Minister to look into the issue of Muslim youths implicated in terror cases. He demanded an independent review committee to look into the issue.
The statement said Modi assured that he will look into the matter and that he is aware of the sensitivity of this issue.
Recently Modi has been criticized by a section of Hindu activist for trying to appease minorities.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi's meeting with Goa's Archbishop this month is proof of his “minority appeasement”, a leader of the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) had said. And now Modi's visit to Delhi's Islamic Cultural Centre may raise eyebrows.
