Modi said the government was unable to control the spiralling onion prices and blamed the Congress-ruled states of Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka, where most onions were grown, for the rise in prices of the vegetable.
Making an oblique reference to the recent arrest of former Rajasthan Minister Babulal Nagar in a rape case, Modi alleged women in the state did not feel safe and lacked confidence in even meeting ministers in the Congress government.
"Will any woman in Rajasthan - will any sister, daughter or mother- have the courage to meet any minister of Rajasthan government? Because the diginity of women is not respected in the state," he said.
Launching a scathing attack on the Ashok Gehlot government, Modi charged it has "destroyed" the state.
