NaMo's family still awaiting the invitation as India gets excited over Modi's swearing-in

New Delhi: Narendra Modi's swearing-in on May 26 has become the national talk-point in India. Everybody, from Narendra Modi's family to a commoner, is eager to become a witness to that historic occasion and they are all excited.As far as the family of Narendra Modi is concerned, they are still expecting a formal invitation from the PM-designate. No communication was received by Modi's family till Friday evening, though many of them were keen to go to Delhi."If I am called to attend the swearing-in, why would I not go?" said Narendra Modi's wife Jashodaben."We will be watching the ceremony on TV," said 72 year old Somabhai Modi, the eldest brother of NaMo.Narendra Modi's youngest brother Pankaj Modi, with whom Modi's mother Hiraba (92) stays in Gandhinagar, will also be watching the ceremony on TV."There is no formal word. Moreover, Hiraba's health will not permit her to travel to Delhi. We will be watching the event at home on TV," said Pankaj who works in the state information department. "Who would not want to see his brother taking oath as PM? If Narendrabhai sends an invite, I will surely like to attend," said Prahlad Modi, another brother of NaMo. Modi's sister Vasanti (60) and her husband Hasmukh, who stay in Visnagar, have booked their train tickets for Delhi. "We have not received any formal invitation, but I had put a tilak on Narendrabhai's head when he took the CM's oath and I would like to do so now," says Vasanti. It's not that only Modi's family is excited about Narendra Modi's swearing-in. There are many people in the country who are equally excited and they have very interesting stories to share about Modi, his victory and his swearing-in. In Pune, A 46 year old Kulfi wallah, Gangaram Ghade, is doling out a free extra kulfi with every purchase at his start till May 26 ehen Narendra Modi will take his oath as PM. According to Ghade, he is excited about Modi as PM because he is hopeful of positive change at the centre.“Mango King” Kalimullah has introduced a new breed of Mango “NaMo”. “Padmashree” Kalimullah The new breed has been created through cross breeding of “Dashahari” and “Husnara” breeds.Kalimullah met Modi in 2012 and now he plans to send “NaMo” mango to the new Prime Minister of India. Atul Kumar Sabbarwal, a die-hard fan of Narendra Modi covered a distance of 2600 KM to congratulate Modi on his victory in Lok Sabha elections. ztul travelled from Bangalore to Delhi along with his son to offer his good wishes to Modi.
