New Delhi: In a surprise development, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today described Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung a 'good person' but with 'bad political bosses'.
"Congress and BJP both demanding Najeeb Jung's removal? Strange. Is he at fault? No. He is doing what PMO is asking him to do. Removing him will not help. His successor would also do same if PMO kept interfering. Real solution is PMO should stop interfering in Delhi," Kejriwal said in a tweet.
"Najeeb Jung is a good man with bad political bosses," Kejriwal said in another tweet instantly.'
Kejriwal's reaction came in the wake of BJP MP from Delhi Udit Raj openly attacking Jung by calling him the new 'king' of Delhi who has no time for the MPs.
The Congress has also attacked Jung by calling him an agent of the Central government. The party has said that 'the sooner the Delhi Lieutenant Governor is removed the better it is'.
Kejriwal's unexpected support for Jung is a surprise because the two are at loggerheads from day one of the AAP government.
Meanwhile, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that instead of making statements to the media, the BJP leader should directly talk to Prime Minister Narendra Modi in this regard.
