Bhopal, June 27 : In a startling move, Madhya Pradesh BJP chief Prabhat Jha today urged President Pratibha Patil to accept his request for “death by wish” in the wake of spiralling prices.
“Government is a giver of life, not death but the Congress-led UPA government is giving death along with price rise,” the state BJP president said.
Jha said that he wanted Patil to grant him permission for “death by wish” as this was the only way left for him to protest against the price rise.
“In such a scenario, I find my life meaningless. I believe that it is better to give up life as a people's representative in the public rather than witness the death of millions of people,” he said. PTI
