New Delhi: A move is afoot to make Manish Sisodia the chief minister of Delhi in place of Arvind Kejriwal, with nearly 80 per cent people in AAP meetings across Delhi expressing their view that
Kejriwal has said several times that he has not joined politics to make out a career. If made the chief minister, he would not be able to criticize the Congress and BJP as effectively as he is doing now
Manish Sisodia is the next senior MLA in the party after Kejriwal. If AAP decides to make Sisodia the CM, it will have to change its legislative party leader, the post currently held by Kejriwal.
Among other AAP leaders, Gopal Rai and Shazia Ilmi lost the elections, while Sanjay Singh did not contest.
The mentors of AAP, Yogendra Yadav and Prashant Bhushan, never contested assembly elections. Alongwith Kejriwal, the trio can keep an eye on the new AAP government in Delhi.
AAP is already preparing its action plan for the first week after forming government.
