New Delhi: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS), the ideological mentor of Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP), has denied that its chief Mohan Bhagwat held a meeting to review poll debacle of the BJP in Delhi.
Earlier in the day, Press Trust of India (PTI) carried out a story that RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat has called a meeting in Delhi to discuss the humiliating defeat of the BJP.
Rajiv Tuli, RSS Praant Prachaar Pramukh for Delhi said that it was just a routine meeting. Reacting to the news being carried out by all news agencies, Tuli said that Bhagwat holds a meeting every month to discuss important events of the country and RSS activities.
Tuli further said that RSS has no interest in the poll results and its BJP's job to analyse and discuss it.
Bhagwat met top Sangh leaders at the 'Keshav Kunj' office of the RSS in Jhandewalan with Suresh Bhayyaji Joshi, the RSS second-in-command, its joint general secretaries Suresh Soni, Dattareya Hosbole and Krishan Gopal, who acts as the link between RSS and BJP, among those present for the meeting.
