Srinagar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a mammoth election rally, a first on behalf of his party BJP in the valley, at Sher-e-Kashmir cricket stadium in Srinagar on December 8. BJP sources said, nearly 1 lakh people are expected to gather at the rally.
BJP state general secretary Tarun Chugh was releasing the party's vision document at a press conference here today.
He said, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley will hold a meeting of nearly 1,000 people from the valley including top businessmen, college principals, professors and engineers at the Sher-e-Kashmir International Conference Centre here on Dec 3.
Jaitley will discuss the problems and aspirations of the people living in the valley with these businessmen and intellectuals.
The party vision document promises to remove Armed Forces Special Powers Act from the state, apart from steps to augment development in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh regions.
BJP's J&K in-charge R K Arora claimed that there was a wave in favour of Modi in the state.
