Modi asks PM to call off 'biryani meeting' with Nawaz Sharif

Tiruchirapalli, TN: BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi today lashed out at the UPA government for what he called its 'spineless' foreign policy and demanded that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh call off his 'biryani meeting'

The Gujarat chief minister lashed out at the Congress saying "divide and rule is in its very DNA. Congress, by deed and thoughts is divisive.

For the last 60 years, this party made states quarrel on water sharing, on the issue of language, in the name of religion, brought the rural-urban divide. Congress always divides brothers in the name of vote banks."

Lashing out at the UPA's economic policies, Modi said, if the economic crisis persists, we will have to search the rupee with a microscope. 'Economists say if this government continues for 5 more years, crores of youths will become unemployed. Because of UPA's policies, several industries are closing down, and this government is squandering away its treasury to benefit a handful of big corporates."

The Aadhar card, said Modi, was unnecessary. "We, in Gujarat, had objected to it saying, being a border state, Aadhar cards will benefit foreign intruders. They did not listen to us, and now the Supreme Court has cracked the whip on Aadhar cards".

"The nation wants to know from the PM how much money was spent on Aadhar cards? Who gained from it? What about the questions the SC raised? ", asked Modi.
