Tiruchirapalli, TN: BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi today lashed out at the UPA government for what he called its 'spineless' foreign policy and demanded that Prime Minister Manmohan Singh call off his 'biryani meeting' with Pakistani PM Nawaz Sharif in New York.

Addressing a huge BJP youth convention here, Modi said, our PM must explain why he went for 'biryani protocol' with the then Pakistan PM, when our soldiers were being killed on the Line of Control.

Referring to today's terror attacks in Jammu, Modi said: "I feel pained and angry when our jawans get killed more by terrorists' bullets than in war. In spite of all these, our Prime Minister is going to have a 'biryani meeting' with the Pakistani PM in the name of protocol.

"Are we so spineless that our neighbours may do whatever they went and we sit idle? Should our PM talks with their PM in such times. Pradhanmantriji, this is this is not me or my party saying, it's the people of Trichy which is telling you, call off this meeting", said Modi, amidst thunderous applause.
