Kanpur: Congress national general secretary Madhusudan Mistry today criticised the media saying it is giving coverage to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's foreign trips but not highlighting the food inflation in the country.
“The skyrocketing prices of vegetables are invisible to the media which is busy covering the foreign trips of the prime minister,” Mistry, who was here to start the Congress membership drive said.
Taking potshots at Modi, he also said, it will be better if “the prime minister saves money by cutting down on his foreign trips”.
Rubbishing reports that the workers in Congress are feeling disillusioned with the party, Mistry said, a large number of people are enrolling themselves in the party through membership drive.
However, he refused to comment on Priyanka Gandhi taking a larger role in the party.
