New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party leader Prashant Bhushan today said, the Lokpal bill passed by Parliament was not going to serve much purpose.
"Political parties will have a dominant role in selecting the Lokpal", said Bhushan while speaking to reporters.
He said, he was surprised to find Anna Hazare supporting the government-sponsored Lokpal Bill. "Whoever wants to take credit for this bill, is free to take, we have nothing to do with it", he added.
"It is not the Lokpal which we had demanded", said Prashant Bhushan.
Another AAP leader Kumar Vishwas said, even the Congress had admitted three years ago that the Lokpal Bill could restrict only 40 per cent of corruption.
