New Delhi: In a controversial step that raises question mark over Indian parliamentary democracry, the historic bill to carve out Telangana state out of Andhra Pradesh was today passed by Lok Sabha  with all doors

3 pm: As Lok Sabha resumed its sitting, Speaker Meira Kumar asked Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde to speak. Shinde in a written speech said the bill seeks to meet the democratic aspirations of  Telangana people. We have tried our best to accomodate the aspirations of people of all regions.  As members walked into the well, the House was abruptly adjourned.
