New Delhi: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Friday appointed RJD chief Lalu Prasad's younger son Tejaswi Yadav his deputy, inviting sharp reaction from each corner of the country.
Tejaswi, 26, a Class 9 dropout and a former IPL player, took oath after Nitish, snubbing senior RJD leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui and others.
Indiatvnews.com conducted a survey on social media on whether Lalu has done the right thing by appointing his younger son as the Deputy CM of Bihar.
We asked the following question with three options:
Q. Is Lalu Prasad Yadav right in appointing his son #TejashwiYadav as Deputy CM of #Bihar?
A. Yes
B. No
C. Can't Say
81 per cent people participating in the survey said NO while only 15 per cent of the respondent agreed with Lalu's decision.
Here are few of the interesting remarks made by social media users who participated in the poll:
1. Shubham Sharma, Mumbai: It is bad fate of India. Engineers, lawyers are unemployed and here a 9th fail, Lalu's illiterate son, is becoming the leader of 2.5 crore people.
2. Sunil Jindal, Noida: A 9th fail Deputy CM in Bihar is the beginning of gunda raj.
3. Chandrabhan T Shukla, Mumbai: बेटे तो इन्सान हैं, लालू अगर चाहें तो भैस को भी मुख्यमंत्री बना सकते हैं। (His sons are human, if Lalu wants, he can even make a buffalo Chief Minister).
4. Sushant Chaudhary, Bhagalpur: It was already decided. Lalu only wanted to settle his sons in politics nothing else. All mandal kamandal, vikash are bullshit.
5. Vinay Bhoyare, New Delhi: He is second Rahul baba. Bihar you deserve this type of politicians.
(A 9th class dropout is becoming the Deputy CM of Bihar. People who questioned Smriti Irani, should now face the mirror).
7. Abhay Singh Ujjain, Jamshedpur: सभी बिहार वासियों को पुराने दिन लौटने के लिए ढेर सारी शुभकामनाये| भगवान् आपको झेलने की शक्ति दे, जय बिहार जय भारत| (Many many congratulations to all people of Bihar on the return of old days. May god give you the strength to tolerate them. Jai Bihar, Jai Bharat).
8. Piyush Tiwari, Gaya: He can't read Hindi properly, how can he do development works? Bihar will be pushed back once again in the next 5 years. People of Bihar have done a big mistake. This loss is irreparable.
9. Kajal Bhattacharya, New Delhi: It is a tragedy of India that son of a thief is becoming Deputy CM. On the other side, Congress and 'legend' Arvind Kejriwal are celebrating this victory. What a deal!
10. Pooran Mal Pareek, Guwahati: People should pray for Bihar. People of Bihar have not done any mistake. They were kept illiterate for this day only. They have done what they thought is correct.
11. Padma Bhatia, Samastipur: Lalu should have advised his son to take training first by visiting pathetic villages of Bihar, understanding the problems of the state & then take a ministerial portfolio.
13. Shailesh Kottari, Mangalore: Deputy CM 9th class failed. What's going on India? Jago Bharat jago.
14. Syed Sabir, Hyderabad: Educated politicians are busy in banning beef and debating Hindu-Muslims etc. Now see what a 9th failed boy can do.
15. Krishnan Nair, Chennai: He (Lalu) had ruled Bihar with his wife as proxy. Now his sons, he and family will rule Bihar with Nitish Kumar as puppet.
