Patna, Sep 26 : Faced with criticism from adversaries for showcasing his son at a function last week for a political end, the RJD supremo Lalu Prasad on Sunday said that the 20 year-old Tejaswee Tarun was too young to take a plunge into politics. "Tejaswee is too young for politics...he is five years' away from contesting polls even if he were to do so," Prasad told reporters here.
"My son is too young for both marriage and politics," Prasad said, adding it was, however, for Tejaswee to take the call on his profession in the end.
Tejaswee's presence at a function in the RJD office last week had evoked sharp response from the opposition with the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar accusing the RJD chief of seeking to perpetuate a family-driven politics.
The Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Modi had also attacked Prasad with forcing a 'reluctant' son to take a plunge into politics to boost the latter's electoral prospects. PTI
