Ranchi: Rashtriya Janata Dal supremo Lalu Prasad today came out of Birsa Munda jail after 76 days after he was granted bail by the Supreme Court.
Soon after he came out jail, Lalu Prasad challenged Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar to face his party in the forthcoming Lok Sabha elections.
"I and my party has full faith in the judiciary. I am not saying this because I got bail. I have spent almost a year in a jail, earlier and now combined.
"People close to Anna Hazare are raising fingers at the judiciary, but let me emphasize, judiciary has its own independence in a democracy.
"Questioning the credibility of the judiciary will be dangerous for our democracy", said the RJD supremo, as his supporters shouted Lalu Zindabad.
