New Delhi: Former IPL commissioner Lalit Modi, who is in news for all the wrong reasons, has taken pot-shot at Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley by calling him a true Congressman at heart.
In a series of tweets yesterday, Modi named Jaitley in the Delhi & District Cricket Association (DDCA) scam and demanded that the Minister should make his phone records public.
"Congress and BJP but at heart congress man @arunjaitley only is my target," Modi's tweet reads.
"Don't forget DDCA scam which rightly shows as exposed by @KirtiAzadMP - clearly points to @arunjaitley and Batra," Modi tweeted.
"Who is #narendra #BATRA and #Bhupen #Yadav they are part of @arunjaitley team. Now you will see the games begin," Modi tweet reads further.
He also said that Jaitley had a moral duty to save former BCCI chief N Srinivasan.
"You will see that when we unearth the documents from the data base - though I have never been convicted by any agency anywhere - or court. The whole country media, courts, CBI, have found Srinivasan guilty - but @arunjaitley stuck by his oldest friend - and why not after. They were part of the same family for decades. He had a moral duty to save Srinivasan," he said.
@arunjaitley should voluntarily disclose all his phone records to media - it will show interesting pattern of calls made to and got, he added.
External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan CM Vasundhra Raje are at the centre of attack for favouring Modi in procuring travel documents in UK.
Modi, who is wanted by the Enforcement Directorate for FOREX violation cases, has been living in London since 2010 after the ED issued a blue corner notice against him, which aims to locate, identify or obtain information on a person of interest in a criminal investigation.
