New Delhi: AAP leader Kumar Vishwas believes that Kiran Bedi is to BJP what Manmohan Singh was to Congress party.
Talking to India TV, Kumar Vishwas said, “Kiran Bedi is BJP's Manmohan Singh. She refused to answer many questions because of her guilt conscience.”
Vishwas said he was fully confident of AAP forming the government in Delhi. He went on to say that AAP was now playing the role of opposition party in the country.
“Congress is almost finished and AAP is emerging as a viable alternative to the grand old party,” said Vishwas.
Kumar Vishwas also foresees a direct contest between – Modi model of governance Vs AAP model governance.
“It's only AAP that can confront Modi government on every front. In the coming years, you will see a direct contest between Modi model and AAP model of governance. I am sure a healthy competition will take place between the two models,” added Vishwas.
When asked if AAP will again seek Congress party's support in case the party falls short of majority, Vishwas replied in negative and said that his party did not seek Congress party's support even last time.
“Let me say one thing. Even last time, we didn't seek Congress party's support. We ran a minority government. Congress decided to support us on its own, we never went to them,” said the AAP leader.
On Shahi Imam's support to AAP, Kumar Vishwas made it clear that his party was against politics of religion and that's why AAP rejected Bukhari's support.
“We are against politics of religion. We also believe that Bukhari's decision of not inviting Modi for the dastarbandi ceremony of his son was wrong,” said Vishwas.
Did AAP leader Alka lamba seek support of Shahi Imam?
“It's totally wrong. She was seeking vote from everybody. Bukhari's brother asked us to request Shahi Imam for an appeal in AAP's favour but we decided against it,” added Vishwas.
