Kejriwal unveils AAP's economic vision before CII

New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal today unveiled his party's economic vision before the captains of industry saying that it was not for state-controlled economy, and wanted private sector to flourish in a

He said, the proposal for state funding of political parties too was complicated. "In that case, the parties will take both state funding and black money from industrialists".

"The transparent system of payment to political parties through cheques is still there today. The Congress got Rs 2300 crore and the BJP got Rs 800 crore as political donations, but it was not at all transparent. Our party puts the names of donors of the website, even if somebody donates a single rupee", claimed Kejriwal.

Corruption, he said, can be uprooted only through strong deterrence. He cited the example of Delhi Jail Board, where he said, 17 executive engineers had FIRs against them filed by the CBI, but were staying in their posts.

"We suspended all the 17 executive engineers, and their union came to us. We told them clearly that those who are honest will not be touched. Transparency International will soon come out with its report to say that corruption has declined in DJB", Kejriwal claimed.

On the allegation that AAP ministers do not know governance, Kejriwal defended saying: "If rooting out corruption is not governance, tell us what is governance. "
