New Delhi: Putting another feather into his cap of “changing stands”, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal has showered praises for his one time contender (Varanasi seat) and present Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Speaking to an English news channel, the former Delhi CM said that he appreciates Narendra Modi's move to invite to the SAARC leaders for his swearing-in ceremony in May earlier this year.
"It is not necessary for every leader to play his drums. Though Modi has not made much difference in his first 100 days, but there is still a lot of hope," Kejriwal said.
He also agreed upon that Narendra Modi is currently the most popular leader in the country. Interestingly, in an earlier video (leaked before elections) too, the AAP chief had said that “Modi's popularity is growing in India”. But later on he denied his statements.
Hey peeps! That's not the end of the story. The poet turned politician, AAP's Kumar Vishwas, who contested against Rahul Gandhi from Amethi, also had sweet words for the Prime Minister.
He lauded Modi for his recent trip to Japan and stressed that opposition should give a decent chance to the PM. Moreover, Vishwas will also be performing at an event to celebrate PM's birthday on September 17.
