Mumbai, Sep 15: Shiv Sena chief Bal Thackeray on Saturday equated the government's decision to hike diesel price to a "terror strike" and asked UPA allies to ditch it.
"Kasab killed 200 people. Now, at least 30 crore poor people in the country have been devastated in the Manmohan Singh-Sonia Gandhi-led terror strike," Thackeray said in an editorial in party mouthpiece 'Saamana'.
Mamata, DMK and NCP should quit the government and show that they truly support people, he said.
"If Mamata has any guts, she should quit the government, instead of just voicing her opposition to the price hike. DMK and NCP have also created an illusion that they are pro-people by condemning the hike," he said, adding the government has pushed people to the brink of graveyard by increasing the diesel and LPG prices, he said.
