New Delhi, April 23: Former communications minister A. Raja, who is an accused in the 2G spectrum allocation case, Monday reiterated he should been heard by the joint parliamentary commiitee (JPC) probing the controversy.

Raja said he had been maintaining that he should be called by the JPC and whatever steps he took were in consultation with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.

"He (the prime minister) knew about it," Raja told reporters here.

Raja said he was in the process of sending a note to JPC.

The leaked draft report of JPC had reportedly cleared both Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Finance Minister P. Chidambaram of any wrongdoing, while laying the blame squarely on Raja.

The JPC will meet April 25 to finalise the report. The report is likely to be tabled in parliament next month.
